Wonderful post Lewis. It captures a lot of what I have been feeling over these past two years. I'm a fair bit older than you (about to turn 55) and I don't take this moment, with this team, for granted at all. I do hope this group gets the validation of one of the big prizes but even if they don't I hope I never forget how good they are and how delightful it is that those big prizes are even possible.
Thanks so much Jason. My dad's older than you and when I was growing up he told me the good times would end, I really didn't believe him until they did. Making the most of every good game now and forever.
Lovely piece Lewis, I agree with the sentiment wholeheartedly. You get at the heart of what it means to be a football fan, something which a lot of people unfortunately seem to forget at times.
Interesting that you think we're probably third favorites, I reckon we're in a better position than that given that only Liverpool have better remaining fixtures*, when measured by the current ppg of opponents in the run-in (with the stadia that the matches are being played at factored in), and having watched them this season I think they've overperformed so far, which their underlying numbers seem to back up.
I guess with the run in I just give a lot of weight to having to go to City and having all the harder games (Brighton, Man Utd, Tottenham) away bar Villa. Don't see quite the same amount of jeopardy for the other two. Even though I 100% agree we've been better than them both.
Welcome back. Brilliant piece, Lewis. This team is an absolute joy to watch. COYG.
That they are 🫡❤️

Congratulations Lewis. There's no journey quite like parenthood. I hope you're adjusting well
I don't know how well but I think well enough, for now 😅 first flight tomorrow, let's see how that goes!
