I just wrote a similar comment on Jonathan's (Arsenal Wonderland) piece from last week, but it really has been a boon in retrospect that I wasn't able to read his, yours, or Poorly's recent newsletter issues until today when I really needed them. I guess that's something (everything) after all the renewed Gooner pain to go around.
While I have enjoyed the ride, I didn’t let myself believe it that we’re going to win it, because I was certain that City will catch up with us. The gap is simply too large between the two clubs, and it was only a matter of time. I’m proud of what Arsenal have accomplished this season, and I’m even prouder of finally having a team again that I like, with so many likable individuals. I’m bothered about the bottled it narrative, it’s so sensationalist and stupid.
What now?
I enjoy these a lot
I appreciate your Andrew Mangan-like circumspection here Lewis. This all feels really spot-on to me.
